SUMMER 2021 ACTIVITIES

With the start of autumn's boat shows and sales activities in the nautic sector, we are giving you an overview of Navela's summer business activities.

From the 1st of June to the 1st of September Navela hosted their 3rd annual Garage Sale. We offered a broad palette of items from our sales portfolio, where each week we altered theme weeks with different boating equipment themes and spare parts.

At the beginning of June we visited Salone Nautico di Venezia, Venice Boat Show. It was amazing to finally visit a real life boat show since the start of the corona crisis. Epidemiologic precautions were present, but we were still able to enjoy networking with our clients and partners.

In June and August we delivered another Yanmar 4LV250 engine to Leidi. Leidi is a Croatian boatbuilding company specialized for recreational and multipurpose vessel building. Our collaboration with Leidi has been ongoing for years and we supply the model Leidi 800 with our engines.

In July we visited our partners, shipyard Kuštera on the island of Pašman, Croatia. The family company and shipyard cherishes tradition and quality boatbuilding, which makes them recognized on the market of Croatian boatbuilding. The model Kuster 19 has had installed the engine Yanmar 4JH3-DTE of 125 horsepower, which is now available as a common rail version 4JH110.

In late July we supported the commissioning 6AYM-WET HD, a 555 kW engine powering NB055 vessel. The vessel is under construction at Radež shipyard on the island of Korčula, built for supporting aquaculture activities for the Croatian company Cromaris,  for production and processing of high quality Mediterranean fish. This will be the fourth hull, alongside models WB24 and WB27 which have been produced by Radež and powered by Navela.

Additional aquaculture activities we support include supply of net cleaning robots for fish farming cage nets. We are proud to state we have powered the whole Eastern Adriatic coast with our net cleaning robots since 2010. In August we visited Cromaris, which alongside its multifunctional vessel is supported with our net cleaning robots. We checked the robots status and operation mode. Yanmar’s net cleaning robot portfolio has two types, a larger model NCL-LX and smaller NCL-SE3, while on the picture you can see the NCL-LX. The robot is operated by a single person, monitoring it from the supporting vessel which can be stationed at one position by the cage. The robot reduces overall working and cleaning hours, while providing a constant sea stream which allows for healthier fish  and higher standards. The cage nets have a longer lifetime.

Keep an eye out for our promotional activities and boat shows we exhibit on until the end of 2021 on our social media channels.
