Navela, Yanmar’s representative with its most interesting products participated, at Internautica. This year, the space was twice as big as previous years. 
All seamen are interested in seeing the Yanmar 4JH80SPP (Steerable Propulsion Pod) system, a combination of the new 4JH80 engine and the only sail drive leg on the market which turns 360 degrees. It enables sailboats a unique way of steering with the help of a joystick which were up to now available only on motor boats. 
The system presented in Portorož is connected to the navigation device and, thus, possible to see its real usage at sea. It can be used with the new engine generation for sailboats. It is quiet, powerful, cost-effective, connectable and clean. Even Japan’s Special Envoy Ambassador in Slovenia, Mr. KEiji Fukuda was interested in it.

You can also see the Yanmar fourth generation engine 6LY400CR presented for the first time last fall. These engines are intended for motor yachts of verified technology which comply with the newest EU directives for recreational boats. The engines can be installed in motor yachts manufactured in Slovenia. 


We have also presented elite boat equipment, Plastmo, a leader in compasses and safety equipment as well as Goiot portholes and Andersen winches.

Navela and Yanmar have re-established cooperation with the biggest and the oldest ship manufacturer in Slovenia – Elan. Its sailboats are again available for purchase with Yanmar engines.
