Yanmar engines will be reinstalled in Elan sailboats from January 2017 according to the agreement of Elan Marine Division, one of the world's leading sailboat manufacturer and the company Navela from Pula, Yanmar distributor for Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. That way, buyers that choose Yanmar as an option, will get into possession of top class sailboats driven by the most up-to-date engines made according to the newest european standard RCD2. These engines are clean, connectable, powerful, quiet and economical, simply the best in class.

The cooperation between Elan and Yanmar goes back to the 80's when Yanmar engines were installed in Elan 31, Elan 43 and other models which still boat the Adriatic and other seas. The installation of new generation of Yanmar engines started last year and those sailboats are already delivered to their customers. With this signed agreement the cooperation becomes systematic. The first engine, 4JH45C with SD 60 has already been delivered for installation in the Elan GT5 sailboat.

The YM and JH series from 15 to 80hp with saildrive will be installed in all Elan sailboats.

This choice will be extremely useful and intriguing for charter companies on the Adriatic which already have boats equipped with Yanmar engines, because the same showed great efficiency for exploatation in charter flots which have service network and spare parts services for Yanmar engines. Also, many sailboat buyers who already have great experiences with Yanmar engines will be interested at these news.
